Christmas! Christmas is the season so magnificent and filled with such blessings that it has an Advent of four weeks preceding it and Epiphany after it with the star and wise men proclaiming that this King is for all people. From our vantage point, we understand that this Creator King who divides all human history has radially changed our lives, because we have seen His greatness, and we choose to lose our lives for His sake. And what a freedom and blessing we have found! Thanks be to God!
*We laugh at the tinsel town, fairy tale stories of snowmen, grinches, santas, ghosts of Christmas past, and hundreds of other attempts of the world to augment this simple yet profound story of God leaving His kingdom to be born in a stable in order to show people and create the way for them to live! What can top that? So I encourage you to become familiar with the true story and to let your praise and gratitude overflow in your life. Don't worry, you will find ways to express your joy. The Lord will even open up opportunities for you! So get into it, and enjoy God's most precious gift of Jesus to you!
