Moment for Missions ... One Great Hour of Sharing - Thanks to all who so generously gave of their gifts to "One Great Hour of Sharing." Just as Jesus asked His disciples many years ago to "feed my sheep," you, too, have answered that call. Through your donations and the money collected by the Sunday School classes in their "fish banks" we were able to send over $700.00!!! We praise God for working through Mt. Chestnut to bring recovery and wholeness to a hurting world. Trace & Karen Bender, Wycliff Bible Translators- Due to ongoing health issues Trace and Karen have made the difficult decision to resign from Wycliffe Bible Translators, effective April 1, 2010. In early April they left Bangui, Central African Republic and relocated to nearby Allision Park, PA. Please keep them in your prayers as they begin the next steps of their journey that the Lord has planned for them. Thank you for all you do - The Missions Ministry Unit "Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honr giving preference to one another." (Romans 12:10)
Church Cookbook Thank you for contributing your favorite recipes for the new cookbook. Your generosity exceeded our expectations and it looks like this cookbook is going to be a treasure for years to come. The recipes are still being typed into the system, and we anticipate sending it off to the printer in the next few weeks. After the proof is approved by us, it takes several months for our cookbooks to be completed and shipped. We expect to have them sometime in the fall. Be assured that you will have them for your holiday gift giving needs. The selling price of the cookbooks has not yet been set, but as soon as it is available, we will let you know. In the meantime, you can still reserve copies by calling Gene Boyer (724-865-9735), and she will handle that for you if you have not done so already. Thank you, again.
Important Information Per Capita 2010 *Every year our church, including all Presbyterian Churches pay a Per Capita amount for each active member. This helps pay for ecclesiastical and administrative expenses. *This year we must pay $27.00 per member. Our total cost is $7,938.00. This is a large expense for our church to pay. *We ask each member to help with this expense. Even if you choose not to pay the $27.00, our church still pays this expense to Beaver-Butler Presbytery for every member. The money will come out of our General Operating Fund and away from our church programs. Please help us to pay your share of the per capita so that the budget is not overwhelmed. Thank you.
