New Member's Class to Begin We are having a new member*s class, and we invite you to participate. This will demonstrate that your faith is important to you and this class of four weeks gives each person the opportunity to look at their faith in a safe and encouraging atmosphere. The four Sunday morning sessions will be February 28th, March 7th, 14th, and 21st at 10:00 - 10:45am in the Fellowship Hall (dining room). We ask you to commit to attend these classes, but Rev. Curtis is willing to meet with you privately if your schedule does not permit.
Confirmation Class for 8th, 9th, & 10th graders Confirmation Class is the beginning of a life-long journey of discovering God, enjoying Him and glorifying Him forever. We have met and decided that Sun. evenings from 5-6pm is the best time to take the four-month journey of examining our own faith and asking ourselves, "What do I really believe?" We will try different means to discover what God means to us and what God is saying to us. All 8th, 9th, & 10th graders are invited to join us in this adventure that may lead to becoming an adult active member in the church. I hope to see you February 7, 2010 at 5:00pm in the church library. ***-Jeff Curtis
Important Information Per Capita 2010 *Every year our church, including all Presbyterian Churches pay a Per Capita amount for each active member. This helps pay for ecclesiastical and administrative expenses. *This year we must pay $27.00 per member. Our total cost is $7,938.00. This is a large expense for our church to pay. *We ask each member to help with this expense. Even if you choose not to pay the $27.00, our church still pays this expense to Beaver-Butler Presbytery for every member. The money will come out of our General Operating Fund and away from our church programs. Please help us to pay your share of the per capita so that the budget is not overwhelmed. Thank you. The Finance Team
30-Hour Famine *Our constantly growing and eating youth will be having a 30-Hour fast March 19th and 20th in order to learn about and experirence hunger around our world. All of the funds that are collected will be used to help feed people both in the USA and across our world and both for immediate needs and long term solutions. Please support our youth as they fast to benefit others.
