Jr/Sr High Youth Group

   We hope that you will feel welcome to attend our youth group meetings.  We meet together each Sunday evening at 5:00pm and begin with dinner, and then activities, lessons, games, and fun.  Any youth from 7th through 12th grade is invited to join with us. 

   Won't you start off the new year 2009 with your priorities in just the right place? Mt. Chestnut Youth Group can help you organize those priorities... join with us and let's worship the Lord together.

Mt. Chestnut Christian Preschool

During the month of January, we will study ab out snow and snowmen and enjoy a Penguin Pajama Party with hot cocoa.

We hope you enjoyed your holiday vacation and are ready to start off the new year 2009 with news from our Preschool friends.

2009 Mission Trip

Several of our members who have traveled to the New Orleans area to repair homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina are again planning to return., and others are also going. We invite you to join with us on February 14-22, 2009.  We'll drive down by van, stay in a church dormitory and work at several job sites. The cost is $350.00 per person which is "all inclusive" for travel, food, housing, work site and hopefully dinner in New Orleans. All ages 14 and above are welcome. There are jobs for everyone. We need your $100.00 registration fee as soon as possible so that we may start fundraising activities. For more information there will be a meeting held at Mt. Chestnt on January 14th at 7:00pm to answer any questions.

Mt. Chestnut Senior Center

The Senior Center will be closed for the New Year holiday on Jan. 1st.  Our mid-winter pary will be held on Thursday, January 22nd. Please make your reservations for this fun winter & snow lunchoen by Jan. 19th by calling (724) 282-6006 on Mon. or Thurs. from 10am to 1pm

The Mt. Chestnut Senior Center is always having a great time and we'd love to have you join with us in our parties, bingo, games and spec ial speakers. We meet every Monday and Thursday from 10am til 1pm.

2009 Confirmation Class

If you know of anyone in the 8th grade or older who would like to learn more about God and then have the option to join this church as an active adult member, invite them to our 2009 Confirmation Class. We will begin on Sunday afternoon, January 18th at 4:45pm to determine the best time to meet, and then schedule a weekly time to eet until Pentecost on May 31st.
